We are now offering Park Tool School Maintenance Classes at our Naperville location. Our experienced mechanics will train you how to tune-up your own bicycle based on Park Tool's Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair. The Big Blue Book uses color photos and instructions to clearly explain the topics covered in our class and additional repairs and maintenance for your bicycle. Novice Maintenance Class This 5-6 hour hands on experience will be taught using your own bicycle and include the following maintenance topics:
- Chapter 1 – Basic Bicycle Maintenance
- Chapter 2 – Tires and Tubes
- Chapter 3 – Clean Rear Sprockets
- Chapter 4 – Wheel Truing (on the bike)
- Chapter 5 – Pedals and Cranks
- Chapter 6 – Chain Cleaning
- Chapter 7 – Adjusting Derailleur Systems
- Chapter 8/9 – Adjusting Rim Brake Systems – Disc brakes not included
- Chapter 10 – Handlebars, stems, saddles and seat posts
- Chapter 12 – Bike Washing
Classes will be limited to 4 people for optimal teacher to student instruction. Cost of the class is $100 which includes the Park Tool Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair ($25). Class must be paid for in advance to save your spot. No refunds will be given if you cancel within 7 days of the class. We do have the right to cancel classes if there are fewer than two participants. Payment is limited to one participant. Parts that are needed are additional to the class. We also offer 10% off tools and repair stands for participants the day of the class.

Individual Classes Please contact us if there is something you would like to learn individually. Cost is $60 for the first hour and $30 for each additional half hour for an individual session. Individual session is limitted to one individual to attend.
