In addition to selling products for commuting, you may find a number a free state, county and local maps at our stores. A number of us also commute by bike so we can offer advice on the gear we like to use, routes we take and ways to stay safe!

Finding a bicycle route to work, school or another destination can sometimes require several trial rides until you find the safest route. Google has added bicycle routes to Google Maps which may help take some of the guess work out of creating a safe commute. In fact, I tested my route that I have used for over two years against Google and found they are almost identical. Google’s route is a bit safer than my usual route by crossing two major roads at light-controlled intersections instead of partially sign-controlled intersections. I still prefer my route, but will likely use Google Maps to test other routes in the future. Try it out below and see what you think.
